Eight Sheep Killed in Jumla Bear Attack

Jumla. Eight sheep have died due to a bear attack in Jumla. District Police Office Information Officer Shaligram Khanal informed that eight sheep died on Monday in a bear attack in Thambada village of Gauthichaur Rural Municipality-4.

Local sheep farmer Narendra Adhikari's sheep were killed by a bear. Information Officer Khanal stated that the bear entered the flock of sheep kept in the shed at night and attacked.

Similarly, five sheep have not been contacted so far. Twenty-nine sheep in the flock are safe. The District Police Office stated that there was no human casualty as the incident occurred at night.

Sheep farmer Adhikari said that the death of eight sheep has caused a loss of about Rs 200,000, as the minimum price per sheep is Rs 18,000.
