Rastriya Swatantra Party Local Leader Arrested in Jajarkot for Assault

Jajarkot. A local leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been arrested in Jajarkot on charges of assaulting and beating a woman. The arrested is RSP's Kushe Rural Municipality Chairman Mohan Bikram Shahi.

It is alleged that Shahi used abusive language and assaulted and beat a woman inside the health post building at Gharanga, Kushe Rural Municipality-6, at around 8 am on the 16th of Jestha. The team dispatched from the District Police Office, Jajarkot, took Shahi under control based on a complaint of mistreatment of the woman.

District Police Office Jajarkot's Information Officer and Police Inspector Sudhir Kumar Khadka informed that Shahi is being investigated under a case of indecent behavior. Khadka stated in a press release issued on Monday that Shahi has been kept in custody with a seven-day extension granted by the District Administration Office, Jajarkot, for further investigation.
