Kathmandu Metropolitan City Scholarship Exam: 14,057 Students Pass

Kathmandu. 14,057 students have passed the scholarship selection examination of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

A total of 14,057 students passed the scholarship selection examination conducted by the Metropolitan City on Sunday. According to the decision of the Scholarship Examination Committee, the preliminary merit list of students who scored a minimum of 40 marks has been published.

The scholarship is for studying in classes 11 and 12 in the academic session 2083/084 in institutional educational institutions operating under the Metropolitan City, the Metropolitan City has informed.

The results can be viewed by entering the roll number, date of birth, and password (received via mobile/email) on the portal where the online form was filled.

Namraj Dhakal, Education Officer of the Metropolis and Coordinator of the Examination Committee, informed that since this is a preliminary result, students who are not satisfied with the result can apply for re-evaluation within office hours on Jestha 20. According to him, one student who scored the highest marks in the exam obtained 92 marks. Similarly, one student who scored the second highest obtained 91 marks, and five students scored 90 marks.

If dissatisfied with the published results, the Metropolis has stated that applications can be submitted to the Education Department by Jestha 20 by depositing revenue of one thousand rupees along with a copy of the admit card.

The Metropolis had published a notice on Jestha 3 for the selection of students to study on scholarship. The examination was conducted at 83 centers for the scholarship.

Out of 26,888 students, including 16,549 male students, 10,333 female students, and six other students who applied online for the examination, the applications of 26,603 were approved. The Metropolitan City has informed that 22,020 students out of the approved applicants participated in the examination.
