Congress MP Arjun Narsingh KC Praises PM's Parliament Presence, Cautions on Rule of Law

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress MP Arjun Narsingh KC has said that the Prime Minister's presence in parliament and readiness to answer is positive. 

Some MPs raised objections after the Prime Minister went to the rostrum and asked the MPs to ask questions in Sunday's House of Representatives meeting, contrary to the rules, after which MP KC said this. He also said that the provisions of the rules should be continued.

'The Prime Minister has appeared to answer in a very dramatic manner. This is also practiced in other countries. However, the process according to the rules must be continued,' said KC, raising the issue of the Human Rights Commission's report - 'In a legal state, there is rule of law and rule by law.'

KC urged the Prime Minister not to forget his democratic responsibility, stating that laws are being made to suit the interests of power. In response, Prime Minister Shah said that the government will study the reports of not only the Human Rights Commission but all commissions and proceed with actions.
