Two Arrested, Brown Sugar and Marijuana Seized in Koshi Province Anti-Drug Operation

Biratnagar. Under the anti-drug grand campaign of Koshi Province Police, two people have been arrested today. The police have recovered 4 grams 110 milligrams of brown sugar and 120 kilograms of marijuana from the possession of the arrested persons and from an unclaimed state.

According to the police, a police team dispatched from the Area Police Office, Kumarkhod, arrested 26-year-old Vivek Rai from Ilam's Chulachuli Rural Municipality-3, who was walking on foot from India towards Nepal with 2 grams 820 milligrams of brown sugar, and a joint police team dispatched from the Area Police Office, Lauwahi and the District Police Office, Sunsari arrested 25-year-old Nishan Karki from Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-17, Kanchichok, who was walking on foot from India towards Nepal with 1 gram 290 milligrams of brown sugar.

Similarly, a team dispatched from Koshi Province Police Office, Biratnagar and a joint police team dispatched from Temporary Police Post Jorsukhawa recovered 120 kg of marijuana packed in black plastic from an unclaimed state from the Siran Community Forest area of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-20, informed Koshi Province Police Office Spokesperson and Senior Superintendent of Police Yogendra Singh Thapa.
