1,994 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, one thousand nine hundred and ninety-four drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs. five hundred and forty-one thousand five hundred and two has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 127 people who consumed alcohol, 142 who engaged in 'ride sharing' against the rules, 149 signal light violators, and 103 who drove vehicles at high speed were penalized.

Similarly, 158 who did not follow 'lane' discipline, 130 who honked in prohibited areas, 128 who parked vehicles on the road shoulder, 95 who drove on one-way roads, and 962 who did not follow other traffic rules were penalized.
