Information Minister Dr. Timilsina Asserts Government Commitment to Implementing Election Pledges and Youth-Centric Budget

Nuwakot. Minister of Communications and Information Dr. Bishal Timilsina has stated that fulfilling the commitments made to the public during the elections is the primary responsibility of the government and elected representatives, and that the current government is moving forward with determination towards that goal.

Addressing a program organized in Tadi Rural Municipality-5 on the occasion of the first local convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Minister Timilsina claimed that the budget presented for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 has been formulated to address the aspirations of the youth for good governance, prosperity, and change.

He mentioned that the budget presents a clear roadmap for the direction in which the country's economy will move in the coming days, and that the government's priorities, revenue policy, and long-term development vision are also clearly included.

Minister of Communications and Information Dr. Timilsina stated that efforts are being made to make the development process effective, balanced, and inclusive through policy reforms, and that the government is committed to ensuring proportional development. "This time, the budget is not scattered and aimless like in previous years; a clear starting point for development has been set by focusing on national needs," said Minister Timilsina.

He mentioned that the budget has been prepared with new thinking and perspectives, and that the government is striving to end the situation where the benefits of development and budget are concentrated among a limited powerful group. He also informed that detailed plans and programs will be published through the Red Book, as the budget statement cannot cover all subjects.

He expressed his commitment to being active in solving various problems of the district and urged the local residents to inform him of their grievances and problems through any means. He also assured that necessary steps would be taken to resolve the problems received.

Minister of Communications and Information Dr. Timilsina claimed that the current budget has been introduced with the objective of implementing the commitments made by the ruling parties during the elections, and that the government is focused on ensuring equal rights of all citizens in development. He stated that through this budget, the government has laid the foundation for planned development targeting the next 20 years.

Minister of Communications and Information Dr. Timilsina clarified that the government is moving forward with a commitment to end corruption and middlemen, and stated that strict action will be taken against such malpractices. "Politics is done for the people. Those who do wrong things will naturally be in trouble now," he said.

He mentioned that citizens are at the center of the government's policies, programs, and plans, and expressed the view that dissatisfaction and a spirit of rebellion among the youth increased in the past when the governance system was influenced by limited interest groups. He stated that the public's disappointment increased due to the inability to effectively establish a citizen-centric governance system, which made the need for an alternative political force felt.
