Madhesh Province Weakest in Audit Irregularities, Bagmati Province Strongest

Kathmandu. In the fiscal year 2081/082, Madhesh Province has appeared the weakest in terms of audit irregularities, while Bagmati Province has appeared the best.

According to the annual report published by the Office of the Auditor General, the audit irregularity percentage of the Bagmati Province government has appeared the lowest this fiscal year. The audit irregularity percentage of Madhesh Province government is higher compared to other provinces.

According to the report, this year, the audit irregularity percentage for government offices, other organizations, and committees under the Bagmati Province government has appeared to be zero point eighty-three percent. For government offices, other organizations, and committees under the Madhesh Province government, the audit irregularity percentage is three point seventy-seven percent.

Similarly, under the Koshi Province government, one point twelve percent, under the Gandaki Province government, one point forty-four percent, under the Lumbini Province government, one point twenty-seven percent, under the Karnali Province government, two point zero eight percent, and under the Sudurpashchim Province government, one point fifty-three percent of audit irregularities have appeared.
