Parliamentary Hearing Committee Calls for Objections Against Proposed Chief Justice Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma

Kathmandu. The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has called for objections against the proposed Chief Justice Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma. The committee has publicly called for objections if anyone deems Sharma unsuitable for appointment to the post.

Issuing a notice, the committee has given 10 days to submit objections against the proposed Chief Justice Sharma with clear basis and evidence. The objector must clearly state their name, surname, residence, and phone number. However, if the objector wishes, their name will be kept confidential.

According to the constitutional provision, the appointment process will proceed only after the Parliamentary Hearing Committee tests the qualifications, conduct, and capability of the proposed individual based on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council. 

If objections are received, the committee will discuss and investigate those objections and then conduct a direct hearing with the proposed Chief Justice.
