Minister Lamsal Calls for Concrete Roadmap for Transport Sector Improvement

Kathmandu. Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Sunil Lamsal, has stated that a concrete roadmap needs to be created for the overall improvement and sustainable development of the transport sector. Minister Lamsal said this while issuing a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Seventh National General Convention of the National Federation of Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs. Giving congratulations to the representatives from across the country and the organizers participating in the general convention, he praised the contribution made by the federation in public transport management, enhancement of service quality, and travel safety. Minister Lamsal said in his message, 'The contribution made by the federation as a common umbrella organization of transport entrepreneurs across the country is commendable. I believe that this important general convention will create a concrete roadmap for the improvement of the overall transport sector, policy clarity, and sustainable development.' Mentioning that the transport sector is a fundamental sector directly linked to the economic, social, and tourism development of the nation, he pointed out the need for further strengthening the cooperation between the government and the private sector for the modernization and service-oriented transformation of this sector. Minister Lamsal also expressed the expectation that the general convention will discuss in depth the existing challenges in the transport sector and arrive at practical and effective conclusions. The final preparatory meeting for the Seventh National General Convention of the National Federation of Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs, the umbrella organization of transport entrepreneurs, will be held in Pokhara. Federation General Secretary, Deoknath Gautam, has called a meeting on Baishakh 26th at Pokhara Event Center to grandly complete the Seventh National General Convention. The meeting will be held at 5:30 PM. The Seventh National General Convention of the federation is scheduled to be held in Pokhara on Baishakh 27th, 28th, and 29th. General Secretary Gautam has requested the mandatory presence of the federation's president, chief advisor, senior vice-presidents, secretary, treasurer, and all central office bearers, provincial coordinators, and members to attend the meeting.
