Nationwide Weather Change Brings Light Rain Across Seven Provinces

Kathmandu. Currently, the weather is cloudy across the country and light rain is occurring in various districts of all seven provinces. Due to the influence of westerly and local winds, as well as a low-pressure area developed in the lower atmosphere near Nepal, there is a possibility of moderate rain with wind, hail, and lightning in various parts of the country. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged the general public to take necessary precautions due to this change in weather. Especially near Parsa, Bara, Rautahat, and Sarlahi in the Madhesh Province and in the Indian region nearby, a powerful system is developing that will cause thunderstorms, lightning, and rain with wind. As that system is moving northeastward, high caution is needed in those districts and surrounding areas. Currently, Lumbini Province is completely cloudy, while hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, Koshi, and Bagmati provinces generally have cloudy conditions. Currently, light rain with thunderstorms and lightning is occurring in some places in Lumbini Province and in a few places in Gandaki and Karnali provinces. The rest of the country also has partial cloudiness. Information has been issued to remain alert as the wind and lightning that may come with the rain can affect daily life.
