Birgunj Customs Office Collects Rs 177.66 Billion in Revenue Over Nine Months

Parsa. The Birgunj Customs Office has collected Rs 177.66 billion in revenue during the first nine months of the current fiscal year.

Compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year, the office has collected Rs 16.20 billion, or 10 percent, more revenue.

Birgunj Customs Office Information Officer Udaya Singh Bista stated that the office has achieved 89 percent of its revenue collection target for the first nine months of the current fiscal year. The Department of Customs had set a target of Rs 199.34 billion for the office during this period.

Birgunj Customs collected Rs 18.44 billion in Shrawan, Rs 20.73 billion in Bhadra, Rs 19.09 billion in Ashoj, Rs 17.33 billion in Kartik, and Rs 20.80 billion in Mangsir.

Similarly, it collected Rs 20.20 billion in Poush, Rs 18.92 billion in Magh, Rs 19.34 billion in Falgun, and Rs 22.82 billion in Chaitra. The Department of Customs had set an annual revenue target of Rs 273.39 billion for the Birgunj Customs Office. However, only 65 percent of the total annual target has been met in the first nine months. With three months remaining in the current fiscal year, the possibility of further revenue collection remains.
