13th Nepal Tattoo Convention Kicks Off in Lalitpur

Lalitpur. The 13th edition of the 'Nepal Tattoo Convention' has begun at Heritage Garden in Sanepa, Lalitpur. This prestigious event, which has been held regularly since 2010 and was paused for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, commenced on Friday.

The convention, which runs until Sunday, has seen an enthusiastic turnout of tattoo enthusiasts and artists. In this edition, more than 250 tattoo artists from Nepal and various countries around the world are showcasing their work.

According to convention director Bijay Shrestha, foreign artists dominate the participation. "There are about 250 artists participating this year, with 40 percent being domestic and 60 percent being international artists," Shrestha informed.

Launched with the goal of establishing Nepal as an international destination for tattoo art, the convention serves as a platform not only for getting tattoos but also for exchanging experiences across various disciplines of the craft.
