Federal Parliament to hold separate sessions today

Kathmandu. Both houses of the Federal Parliament, the House of Representatives and the National Assembly, are meeting separately today. The House of Representatives is scheduled to table various ordinances, while the National Assembly is set to elect its Vice-Chairperson and present an annual report.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the House of Representatives meeting is scheduled for 1:00 PM. General Secretary Padma Prasad Pandey stated that Home Minister Sudan Gurung is slated to present three ordinances for approval. The ordinances to be tabled today include the 'Voter List (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2082', 'House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2082', and 'Nepal Special Service (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2082'.

Similarly, the National Assembly meeting will be held at 12:15 PM today at Singha Durbar. During the session, member Prem Prasad Dangal will present a motion to the assembly proposing that 'Lilakumari Bhandari be elected to the post of Vice-Chairperson'.

In the same meeting, Prime Minister Balendra Shah is expected to present the 24th Annual Report of the National Human Rights Commission for the fiscal year 2080/81 to the assembly.
