Rastriya Swatantra Party's Ganesh Ghimire Set to Win Bara-1 Seat by Wide Margin

Bara. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Ganesh Ghimire is certain to win in Bara-1 by a margin of 10,000 votes. Out of approximately 81,000 total votes cast in the constituency, 60,318 votes have been counted so far.

Among the counted votes, RSP candidate Ghimire has secured 32,035 votes, CPN-UML candidate Achyut Mainali has 10,913, Nepali Congress candidate Shambhu Budhathoki has 10,257, and CPN candidate Santosh Dangal has received 2,217 votes.

So far, counting has been completed in Kolhawi, Nijgadh Municipality, Baragadhi, and Adarshkotwal Rural Municipality of that area. The Election Officer for Bara-1, Shambhu Bahadur Basnet, stated that only a few wards of Simraungadh Municipality remain to be counted and the results are expected to be announced by 5 PM. He mentioned that about 15,000 votes are yet to be counted.
