Journalist Arun Gyawali Passes Away in Bhairahawa

Butwal. Journalist Arun Gyawali (Arunraj Sharma), who had been practicing journalism for a long time with Bhairahawa in Rupandehi as his work area, has passed away during treatment. Gyawali, who had been ill for a few days, passed away on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Universal Medical College in Bhairahawa.

Kamal Rayamajhi, chairman of Lumbini Press Club, confirmed the death of journalist Gyawali. Gyawali, 54, a resident of Ward No. 3 of Siddharthanagar Municipality in Rupandehi, had been actively involved in journalism for the past two and a half decades. He had been exposing various social issues and anomalies through journalism while working in various local and national media. Gyawali, who was particularly interested in investigative journalism, was an established name in the field of journalism due to his modest nature and impressive writing style.

According to family sources, he was admitted to Universal Medical College for treatment on the morning of Jestha 27 after his health suddenly deteriorated. He passed away during treatment at the hospital.
