Partial Proportional Representation Vote Count Shows RSP Leading in Nepal's House of Representatives Election

Kathmandu. So far, 172,646 proportional representation votes have been counted for the House of Representatives election. According to the Election Commission, this number of votes was counted as of 1 PM on Saturday.

Among these, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured 94,088 votes. Similarly, the Nepali Congress has received 28,323, CPN-UML has received 19,905, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has 8,880, CPN (Maoist Centre) has 6,647, and the Shram Sanskriti Party has received 5,560 votes, while the remaining votes belong to other parties.

All these parties have crossed the 3 percent threshold so far, while the rest have failed to meet the threshold. Among these, the votes secured by RSP account for 54.50 percent of the total votes, Nepali Congress 16.40 percent, CPN-UML 11.53 percent, 3.85 percent, and the Shram Sanskriti Party has received 3.22 percent of the votes.

The Rastriya Parivartan Party (Flute election symbol), which merged with the Ujyalo Nepal Party, received 3,461 votes, but this appears insufficient for the threshold.
