Rabi Lamichhane States Election Imposes Greater Responsibility on RSP

Chitwan. The Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, stated that the election has entrusted RSP with greater responsibility. Responding after the election, he mentioned that RSP must become more responsible in the coming days.

He said that the victory achieved by RSP across the country should not be seen merely as a triumph, but as a huge responsibility entrusted by the people. According to him, the faith shown by the public has made him even more responsible and serious.

‘This immense love and trust shown by the people has made us feel that we have been given the greatest responsibility in history. This is not a small matter; it has made us more responsible and serious,’ he said.

Lamichhane interpreted the massive mandate received in the election as a clear indication of change. According to Lamichhane, this clearly sent a message that the public seeks freedom from the old style of politics and is attracted towards a new alternative. He also urged supporters and cadres not to become intoxicated by the victory and not to be aggressive towards the opposition. Mentioning that respecting differing opinions is essential in a democracy, he stated that the time has come to show results through work rather than through verbal attacks.

‘We must be restrained; we must not be agitated. Our expressions must now be more responsible. The act of belittling or abusing the opposition must stop immediately. Democracy means respecting differing opinions,’ he said.

Lamichhane also stated that the party will focus on implementing the commitments mentioned in its election manifesto. He reiterated the commitment to specifically resolve the problems of cooperative victims and to start the process of returning money to small depositors within 100 days.

He mentioned that the new generation played a significant role in this victory and claimed that their hopes and trust would not be wasted. It was his view that RSP will always remain committed to leading the country on the path of good governance and prosperity.
