Security Forces Neutralize Suspicious Object Found in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Security personnel have neutralized a suspicious object found in Tinghare, Ward No. 2 of Nagarjun Municipality, Kathmandu. The suspicious object, wrapped in red cloth, was discovered on the road in front of the house of local resident Shobh Regmi on Wednesday morning.

After locals reported the incident, the army's bomb disposal squad deactivated the object. An official from the Kathmandu District Police Range told Ratopati that the object found was a bucket filled with sand, placed there by a group attempting to disrupt the House of Representatives elections.

Locals reported the matter to the police after noticing the suspicious item with wires pulled out of the bucket.
