Three Candidates Withdraw Candidacy in Morang-6 to Support Nepali Congress Nominee

Three candidates from Morang-6 have had their candidacies declared inactive. They have decided to withdraw their candidacies and support the Nepali Congress candidate, Dr. Shekhar Koirala.

They have decided to support Congress candidate Koirala in the direct election and vote for their own party in the proportional representation category.

Balram Khawas, the candidate from the Nagarik Unmukti Party, Raju Mandal from the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, and Sudharam Majhi Tharu from the Janmat Party, issued separate statements on Monday announcing their decision to support Dr. Koirala.

Previously, Tilak Rajwanshi, the candidate from the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, Mohammad Jabir from the Janata Samajbadi Party, and Ram Khatri, the candidate from the CPN (Unified Socialist) group, had withdrawn their candidacies, pledging support to Koirala.
