Iran Launches Retaliatory Strikes Across Middle East Following Supreme Leader's Death

Tehran. Iran has continued its intense retaliatory attacks on US military bases and strategic centers in various Middle Eastern countries following the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a joint attack by the United States and Israel.

Iranian attacks caused a major fire near the Mina Salman port's maritime center in Manama, Bahrain. Bahrain's Ministry of Interior described it as Iranian aggression and confirmed that civil defense teams were attempting to control the fire. Scenes shared on social media showed thick plumes of smoke rising from the area.

Meanwhile, two drones attacked the 'Victoria Base,' a US military camp near the international airport in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. According to security sources, one drone crashed inside the base while the other was shot down.

US President Donald Trump has vowed revenge for the deaths of three American soldiers killed in the Iranian attack and warned of further potential casualties in the coming days. He also called on the Iranian people to overthrow the Islamic Republic's regime and revolt.

The fallout from the conflict has rapidly spread to neighboring countries. Nine people were killed and 11 remain missing after an Iranian missile struck the city of Beit Shemesh in Israel.

In Ein Torma, near Damascus, Syria, a father and his three daughters were injured when debris from an Iranian missile fell. Iran has reportedly launched missiles targeting airports, residential buildings, and hotels in Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Gulf nations have pledged to retaliate against Iranian aggression and defend themselves. In the meantime, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has permitted the use of his country's military bases by the US for defensive action against Iran.
