Home Minister Urges Citizens to Vote Without Fear Amid Election Preparations

Kathmandu. Home Minister Omprakash Aryal has urged the public to participate in the voting process with confidence.

Minister Aryal, who visited Okhaldhunga on Friday to review preparations for the general elections, assured the District Security Committee, major political parties, chief election officers, and other stakeholders that security arrangements have been strengthened, urging them to vote without worry.

Committing to bringing anyone engaging in illegal activities under the purview of the law, Minister Aryal emphasized the need to ensure a fair election. He stated that all segments of society must contribute from their respective positions to maintain religious and social harmony.

Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ramprasad Bhandari stressed the need to bring violators of the election code of conduct under legal action.

Okhaldhunga's Chief District Officer Mekh Bahadur Mangranti provided an update on the overall law and order situation in the district. Chief Election Officer Hariprasad Koirala stated that the District Election Office is working in coordination with political party leaders.
