Jhapa Residents Urge Former PM Oli to Prioritize Development of Local Religious Sites

Jhapa. Residents of Kamal Rural Municipality-3 in Jhapa have urged former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli to develop the infrastructure for the local Balmiki Ashram and Kirateshwar Temple.

During a voter outreach program on Thursday in Sano-kerkha, locals requested that these two locations be prioritized for infrastructure development so they can be promoted as tourist and religious sites. They stated that it is necessary to develop the Balmiki Ashram, wetlands, and the Kirateshwar Shiva Panchayan Temple as areas of faith and observation.

Furthermore, locals drew Oli's attention to managing the electricity transmission lines, resolving land issues for the unorganized settlers, and completing the construction of pending bridges and roads.

Similarly, Chamunda Gautam, who is ill, requested arrangements for easily accessible health services for patients. During the meeting with Oli, Deepak Rai, Chairman of the Kamal Christian Society, requested arrangements for a building and land for cremation.

On Thursday, when former Prime Minister Oli visited Simle in Kamal-5, locals also requested the resolution of land-related problems. Local Harimaya Khadka stated that since Oli had taken the lead in making public life easier through infrastructure like roads, electricity, and bridges, they have faith that the land-related issues will also be resolved by Oli.

During the voter interaction, Oli also visited the ongoing Shreemad Bhagwat Saptah Gyan Mahayagya at the Radhakrishna and Shivalaya Temple in Jharwari, Kamal-5, on Thursday.
