Mobile Health Camp in Jeddah Benefits Nearly 100 Nepali Workers

Kathmandu. A one-day mobile health camp was successfully concluded in the Al Khumrah/Sana'iya area of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

A medical team, supported by the Aseer Group Hospital network in Saudi Arabia, provided health services during the camp. The Nepali Consulate General stated that approximately 100 Nepali workers directly benefited from the camp. The camp was jointly organized by the Nepali Consulate General, Jeddah, and the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Regional Coordination Committee, Jeddah.

Services available at the camp included eye examinations, diabetes testing, and consultation services for various ailments. Furthermore, the Consulate General reported that facilitation was provided for necessary procedures related to passport services. During the camp, Nepali workers were provided with awareness sessions on labor laws, rights, and financial literacy. The program concluded with an interaction session addressing various issues faced by the Nepali migrant workers.
