Nepali Student Found Dead in London Flat, Suspected Suicide

London. The body of 22-year-old Nepali student Kaushal Kumar Thakur, residing in Harrow, London, has been found in a suspicious condition in his own room. Thakur, whose permanent home is Mahottari (Pipra-07, Banouli), was studying in his final year of Cybersecurity at the University of East London. According to the family, Kaushal had been suffering from serious mental health problems for some time, and it is suspected that he committed suicide due to this reason.

The unimaginable death of Kaushal, found dead on Thursday, June 18, has shocked the Nepali community in Britain. According to the deceased's brother, Aditya Kumar Thakur, the family is currently facing a major mental shock as well as financial crisis. Aditya stated that it will cost a lot to complete the necessary legal procedures in Britain and send the body to Nepal, and the family is unable to arrange for it.

A page has been opened on 'GoFundMe' to help the Thakur family. Aditya made an emotional appeal, saying, 'Our brother had a beautiful future ahead of him, but circumstances took him away from us. Now our only wish is to bring our brother's mortal remains back to Nepal and give him an honorable farewell in his homeland. Please help us in this difficult time.'

Such incidents, repeatedly occurring in Britain, have also raised questions about the mental health of students studying here and the challenges they face. The police are said to be investigating the incident further.
