Biratnagar Metropolitan City Ranks First in Performance Evaluation Among Six Metros; Kathmandu Last

Kathmandu. Among the six metropolitan cities in the country, Morang's Biratnagar Metropolitan City has emerged as the best in performance evaluation. Conversely, Kathmandu Metropolitan City was found to be the weakest.

According to the evaluation report prepared by the National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission based on 17 different indicators, Biratnagar secured the first position by scoring 78.11 points.

Lalitpur Metropolitan City is in second place. Lalitpur scored 76.33 percent. Chitwan's Bharatpur secured the third position with a score of 68.04.

Pokhara Metropolitan City ranked fourth with 58.04 points. Birgunj Metropolitan City, in fifth place, scored 54 points. Kathmandu Metropolitan City ranked sixth in the performance evaluation. Kathmandu Metropolitan City only obtained 44.97 points.
