India Provides Nepal with 220 Vehicles for Upcoming Elections

Kathmandu. The Government of India has provided 220 vehicles to the Government of Nepal.

The Government of India handed over the vehicles in the second tranche upon the request of the Government of Nepal for the elections. India's Acting Ambassador to Nepal, Dr. Rakesh Pandey, handed over the keys to the vehicles at the Ministry of Finance on Thursday.

Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal informed that the Government of India provided the vehicles for the elections as per Nepal's request. He stated that approximately 220 vehicles were received in the second tranche on Thursday out of the nearly 650 various types of vehicles India is providing.

Minister Khanal further informed that the remaining vehicles, along with other necessary materials for the police, will also be received as assistance from the Government of India. India had previously handed over more than 60 vehicles to Nepal some time ago.
