Deputy Speaker Leads Delegation to China for Himalayan Forum

Kathmandu. A five-member delegation led by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ruby Kumari, has departed for China today to participate in 'The Fifth China Xizang Trans' (Himalaya Forum for International Cooperation) to be held in Nyingchi city of China.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the delegation departed for China at 12:45 AM via Sichuan Airlines. Along with Deputy Speaker Ruby Kumari, the delegation includes Federal Parliament Secretariat Secretary Dr. Roshanath Pandey, Undersecretary Bimla Ghimire, Undersecretary Nagendra Chaudhary, and Computer Programmer Anisha Dhakal.

The Honorable Deputy Speaker is scheduled to address the program on behalf of the Nepali delegation, which will be held from Asar 31 to Saun 1 (July 15-17, 2026).

During the visit, Deputy Speaker Ruby Kumari and the Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Xizang Autonomous Regional Committee, His Excellency Wang Junzheng, are scheduled to have courtesy calls and other important bilateral discussions in Nyingchi city, located in China's Xizang (Tibet) Autonomous Region.

The Federal Parliament Secretariat's Joint Secretary and Spokesperson, Ekram Giri, stated in a press release that the Nepali delegation is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on Saun 4.
