Collaboration with people necessary for Kathmandu's prosperity: Mayor Shakya

Kathmandu – Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Bidya Sundar Shakya, has said that he would move ahead collaborating with the people for the prosperity of KMC. 


At a Public Hearing programme organised by KMC-14 here today, Mayor Shakya said that activeness of the people as essential for the prosperity. 


He said, "Development of town is for the people. So it is necessary for the people to participate in all developmental activities of KMC." 


Similarly, KMC Deputy-Mayor, Hari Prabha Khadgi, said that development activities would be carried out as per the integrated development as per the expectation of city dwellers. 


Chairperson of KMC-14, Shova Sapkota, said that different development activities including black topping of roads, cleaning ponds, lying blocks on roads have been carried out in collaboration of more than 22 Tole Development Groups of the ward. 


The participants of the programme demanded that the ward should launch awareness campaign to control drug abuse, establish Rehabilitation Centre, measurement of quality of food stuffs, and among others.
