Anant Tamang's Frustration

Anant Tamang, a member of the Nepali national football team, has expressed that while being selected to play for the national team is a matter of fortune and a symbol of dedication to the country, all is not well with Nepali football. He shared his concern that the overall state of football in Nepal cannot be considered fine just by looking at the participation of the national team.

A Dream and A Commitment

Writing a long post on Facebook, Tamang stated that wearing the national team jersey is the ultimate dream and pride for every player. He acknowledged that not every dream comes true, but he affirmed his constant readiness whenever the country needs him. He committed to playing on the field with all his energy, soul, and dedication for the nation.

The Core Problem in Nepali Football

Tamang pointed out that the main problem for Nepali football is the uncertainty of the A Division League. He highlighted that it has been nearly nine hundred days since the last A Division League was held, which is an extremely sad aspect for professional football.

Support for the Players' Movement

Emphasizing the need to secure the future of football, Tamang stated that the players' demand is simple: the right to play and guaranteed opportunities. He declared his full support for the movement forwarded by the Nepal Football Players Association. He committed to standing in solidarity with this movement from wherever he is, stating that their struggle will continue until their goals are met because only if football survives will their future be secure, and the dreams of current and future players be realized.
