A Star Nepal Basketball League 2026 Enters Semifinal Stage

London. The fifth edition of the 'A Star Nepal Basketball League 2026', organized by including talented young players of Nepali origin residing in the UK, has entered the semifinal stage. The semifinal equation for the men's category has been completed following the conclusion of the quarterfinal matches organized by Nepal Basketball League UK in collaboration with Women Ballers Club at Springwest Academy, Feltham, London.

This competition, which started on March 15, 2026, is considered one of the largest basketball competitions organized by the Nepali community outside Nepal. This competition has been attracting special attention from basketball lovers across Britain. The four quarterfinal matches held last Sunday were very competitive and exciting.

In the first quarterfinal match, Sandhurst Knicks registered a wide margin victory over Northolt Flamers with a score of 104-52. Similarly, Greenford Knights defeated Greenford Rovers 85-73, while Ballers Slammers secured a very competitive victory over DBS with a score of 96-91. In the final quarterfinal match, Hampshire Hoppers defeated Colchester Elite 91-58 to secure their place in the final four. This time, 11 teams in the men's category and 2 teams in the women's category are competing for the title.

The semifinals will take place this Sunday, June 21, between the four winning teams of the quarterfinal at Springwest Academy, Feltham. The first semifinal will feature a competition between Sandhurst Knicks and Hampshire Hoppers, while Greenford Knights and Ballers Slammers will face each other in the second semifinal. According to league coordinator Sarthak Gurung, the semifinal matches are expected to be of the highest level and fiercely competitive. The grand final of this fifth edition is scheduled to be held on July 4, 2026, at Brunel University Sports Centre in London.
