Moulaipur Mayor Criticizes Federal Government Interference

Rautahat. The mayor of Rautahat's Molaipur Municipality, Rinakumari Shah, has commented that the general public is unable to receive services and facilities due to the unnecessary and illegal interference of the federal government. She stated that if the unnecessary and illegal interference of the federal government is not stopped, the public is ready to resist it. She complained that the federal government interfered with the intention of stopping the services and facilities provided by the municipality. 

"Even after repeatedly informing the Federal Government's Ministry of General Administration and the minister about the situation here, no interest has been shown. The government that preaches good governance has itself destroyed good governance," Mayor Shah said in a conversation with journalists today. "The federal government is adopting every tactic to make the municipality fail, which is against the interest of the general public. The center cannot succeed by making the municipality fail." 

Stating that the services and facilities that the general public has been receiving are being obstructed due to the unnecessary and illegal interference of the federal government in Molaipur Municipality, she said that it will now be resisted by the public.

She warned that such actions are unacceptable because the employees appointed by the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration are engaging in politics instead of implementing the decisions of the municipal council. 

She said that even though the Minister of General Administration, Pratibha Rawal, is aware of this, the minister herself is engaged in destroying the Balen government's good governance. 

Stating that programs like free electricity, free water, and 'Daughter with Mayor' are popular programs in Molaipur, she said that such programs are affected by the unnecessary and illegal interference of the federal government. She announced that these programs, which have been in implementation for years, have been obstructed due to the interference of the federal government, and she will ensure they are resumed at any cost.

"Will good governance be established through the unnecessary and illegal interference of the federal government in the municipality? Why is the government that gives the slogan of good governance itself destroying good governance? Is it acceptable for the Minister of General Administration to sit idly by? Molaipur residents are seeking answers to all these questions," said Mayor Shah. 

Mayor Shah has warned that if the illegal interference of the federal government by Minister Rawal of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Administrative Officer Suresh Babu Ghimire, and others, who have started acting arbitrarily, is not stopped, the public will come out in protest.

Her statement is that the public-oriented popular programs, considered models for local levels across the country, have been thrown into uncertainty due to the non-cooperation of the Chief Administrative Officer.
