Complaint Filed Against PM Oli and 16 Others for Human Trafficking and Power Abuse

Advocate Yubaraj Paudel has filed a complaint with the police accusing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and 16 other individuals of human trafficking and misuse of authority during their time in office. The complaint alleges that these officials exploited their positions for illegal activities.

Demand for Arrest and Investigation

Paudel has specifically demanded the arrest and investigation of Prime Minister Oli, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, and former home ministers, among others. The list of accused includes Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, former home ministers Bamdev Gautam, Krishna Sitoula, Bhim Rawal, Vijay Kumar Gachhadar, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Bimalendra Nidhi, Bal Krishna Khad, Ravi Lamichhane, Ram Bahadur Thapa, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, and former Labor Minister Dol Prasad Aryal.

Previous Complaints and Police Response

This is not the first time such allegations have been made. Earlier, Paudel had also filed a complaint with the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), demanding action against PM Oli and others. However, Senior Superintendent of Police Vishwaraj Adhikari of the Kathmandu Police Range stated that while the complaint has been received, it has not yet been officially registered.

The case has drawn attention due to the high-profile names involved and the serious nature of the allegations. Further legal proceedings will determine whether an official investigation will proceed.
