Three killed in separate road accidents in Morang

Morang, January 4 — Three people have died in separate traffic accidents in different locations of Morang, according to the Nepal Police.

In the first incident, a scooter (Province 1-02-045 Pa 2460) lost control and crashed on the road in Urlaabari Municipality-5 on Friday evening. The 45-year-old scooter rider, Narendra Gurung, a resident of Urlaabari Municipality-5, died in the crash. He was seriously injured and succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar.

In another incident, a tractor (Ko.2 Ta 5596) lost control and crashed on the road in Ranjani, Rangeli Municipality-3, on Friday afternoon. The co-driver, 18-year-old Suraj Paswan, a resident of Rangeli Municipality-3, died from serious injuries sustained in the accident. He was receiving treatment at the Rangeli Hospital but did not survive. The tractor driver is currently on the run, and the police are searching for him.

In the third incident, a truck (JH 15 J 7103) and a motorcycle (Province 1-02-041 Pa 1321) collided on the road in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-14 on Friday evening. The motorcyclist, 16-year-old Suraj Thakur, a resident of Mills Area, Biratnagar Metropolitan City-15, died from serious injuries. He was undergoing treatment at Koshi Hospital, Biratnagar, but could not survive. Two other passengers on the motorcycle were also injured and are receiving treatment at the same hospital. The truck driver is currently on the run, and the police are searching for him as well.

The police are conducting necessary investigations regarding the accidents.
