Former President Bhandari launches UML Vice Chair Pokharel’s new book

Kathmandu, January 3 — A book titled "Aama, Sapana ra Taraharu," translated in English as "Mother, Dream, and Stars," written by senior vice-chairman of the CPN (UML), Ishwar Pokharel, has been launched.

The book was unveiled at an event held in Kathmandu on Friday, where former President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Congress General Secretary Bishwaprakash Sharma, UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali, and Associate Professor Dr. Bindu Sharma were present to launch it.

The book was also reviewed during the event.

In his review, UML leader Gyawali mentioned that the book not only contains memories with the author’s mother but also portrays the picture of Nepali society over the last hundred years.

"The book highlights the current situation where mothers have to live in loneliness, and it also discusses the evolving concept of god," Gyawali said.
