PSC proposes 32-year age limit for civil service entry

Kathmandu, January 3 — The Public Service Commission has proposed setting the age for entry into civil service at 32 years.

Speaking at a meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives on Friday, the Chairman of the Commission, Madhav Regmi, also proposed setting the mandatory retirement age at 60 years.

In his written proposal, it has been suggested that the age limit for women be set at 37 years, and the same limit has been proposed for individuals from marginalized communities, including those with disabilities.
