Gold smuggling case: Department of Revenue Investigation raids Chinese residence

KATHMANDU, July 27: The Department of Revenue Investigation has raided the house of the Chinese citizen who was arrested in the case of smuggling about 1 quintal of gold from Tribhuwan Airport.

The Department has seized some documents and property from the house of the Chinese citizen, Ling Chuwan, in Lajimpat.

Two other Chinese citizens were reported to have been living with Chuwan in his residence.

The Chinese citizen Chuwan had already been arrested on July 10 as he was about to depart for China. So far, 17 people have been arrested in this case.
