UML council meeting deliberates groupwise discussions

KATHMANDU: The CPN(UML)'s National Convention Representatives Council is currently in session, focusing on groupwise discussions at the Sunrise Hall in Godawari, Latilpur.

With over 2,454 representatives in attendance, the meeting delves into various reports, including those from Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and General Secretary Shankar Pokharel.

These reports emphasize the party's commitment to internal democracy and its vision of positioning the UML as a pivotal force in national politics, aiming for a 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali'.

Key topics include reports from internal commissions and councils, touching upon issues of discipline, finance, elections, and advisory matters.

The council aims to outline the party's future direction, emphasizing organizational strength and refinement to solidify its national presence.

Furthermore, as the UML celebrates its 75th anniversary, a special program is scheduled for Monday, expected to draw the participation of prominent political figures, including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and former Prime Ministers, along with leaders from various parties.
