Number of women visiting health institution for delivery service increasing in Palpa

 

 

Palpa,  Number of women visiting the health institutions for delivery service in the district has increased following increase in awareness level among the women in this regard. 
Safe Motherhood Programme run by the District Public Health Office in the district from 2068 BS has helped increase the number of women visiting the health institutions for delivery service. 
Information Officer at the District Public Health Office, Madhav Gyawali, said that number of pregnant women visiting the health institution for delivery service has reached 85 in the district while it is around 60 per cent across the nation. 
Gyawali said that distribution of warm clothes and providing Rs 1,000 as transport expense under Safe Motherhood Programme are some reasons behind the increasing number of women visiting the health institutions for delivery service.
