Watercolor artists in Lumbini to portray Buddha's birthplace

Lumbini –Watercolor artists from several countries who are presently available in Nepal in course of participating in the second International Watercolor Festival have arrived Lumbini to reflect the birthplace of Gautam Budhha into their works. 


The Lumbini visit is one of the parts of the festival organised by the International Watercolor Society, Nepal and artists from home and abroad will work on the theme of the birthplace of Buddha, the founder of Buddhism who is revered as an epitome of peace and non-violence. 


According to society general secretary Deependraman Banepali, artists will give their field-based works which will be exhibited at a mega art workshop scheduled for Thursday here. 


Forty artists from seven countries including Nepal have arrived here to illustrate Lumbini in their paintings.The festival that kicked off on December 3 at the Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal, Kathmandu will conclude on December 9. ---
