Two injured in bear attack

Bajura – Two women were severely injured after being attacked by a bear at Khatigaun of Khaptad Chhededaha rural municipality in Bajura.

The victims have been identified as Jalu Dhami, 52, and Shanti Dhami,16, according to ward chair Harka Rawat. Jalu has sustained injuries to her eyes while Shanti suffered wounds to her back. The two had come under the attack from a wild beast as they had been near the local Chhadi stream in course of collecting fodder. They have been referred to Achham-based Bayalpata Hospital from the local Gudukhati Health Post. ---
