Mbappé is the first player since Gerd Müller of West Germany in 1970 to reach double-digit goals in a single World Cup. Only Just Fontaine of France (13 goals) in 1958 and Sándor Kocsis of Hungary (11 goals) in 1954 have scored more goals than Mbappé in a single World Cup edition.
