Marijuana cleanup campaign gains momentum

Bhimduttanagar –The Kanchanpur Police has put in place a weeklong marijuana clean-up campaign across the district as part of the International Day against Drugs Abuse and Trafficking. 

Spokesperson of District Police Office, Kanchanpur, DSP Gyan Bahadur Seti shared that the various area police office and police posts under Kanchanpur district police have initiated the campaign for marijuana cleanup. 

Under the campaign, a police squad deputed from Area Police Office, Jhalari on Thursday had destroyed marijuana saplings at Shuklaphanta municipality-10, Jhalaribazaar and Fuleli area of ward-7 
Likewise, Area Police Office, Tribhuvanbasti and employees of Area Administration Office destroyed marijuana planted in public polaces, shared the District Police Kamchanpur. 

The Armed Police Force, Majhgaun has also intensified its campaign against marijuana in different areas of Bhimdutta municipality consistently. 

So far police have cleaned up marijuana planted in more than five bighas in Kanchanpur. ---
