35-day arrest warrant issued against Biplav

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: District Court Kathmandu has issued an arrest warrant against the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’, his spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma, Chairperson of the All Nepal Peasants’ Federation Revolutionary Raju Karki and others.

A case was registered against the leaders in the District Court Kathmandu on September 26, 2019, for crime against the nation. It is mentioned in the notice of the court that a 35-day arrest warrant has been issued according to Section 58 (13) of the Civil Code of Criminal Procedure 2074 as per the order given on November 26, 2023.

It is said that if they do not appear with the evidence within 35 days in the warrant issued by the court, action will be taken according to the law. It is also mentioned in the provision issued by the court that any complaints will not be heard later.
