Discovery News Network to host 'Ratopati Tourism Conclave'
Kathmandu, January 8 — Discovery News Network Pvt. Ltd. will host the 'Ratopati Tourism Conclave' on Saturday, Poush 27 (January 11) at Hotel Yatri in Thamel.
The event will focus on various aspects of the tourism sector, including its development, expansion, policy challenges, and strategies for promotion.
The conclave will feature three sessions.
The first session will discuss how to introduce new dimensions to Nepal's tourism industry by 2030. Key speakers will include Deepkaraj Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Tourism Board; Binayak Shah, President of the Hotel Association Nepal (HAN); Sagar Pandey, President of the Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN); Kumar Mani Thapaliya, President of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA); and Nimu Nuru Sherpa, President of Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA).
The second session will feature renowned personalities who have traveled extensively across Nepal and will share their experiences.
Speakers include Bibek Khadka, Pilot at Altitude Air Nepal; Chunga Sherpa, Wildlife Photographer; Solo Traveler Sirjana Sijju; and Record-Breaking Climber Mingma Gyabu Sherpa aka Mingma David.
The final session will address the policy and practical aspects of the tourism sector, with Tourism Minister Badri Pandey, former Tourism Secretary Deependra Purush Dhakal, and Suman Pandey, Vice Chairman of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) serving as panelists.
The conclave will begin at 11 AM and run until 5 PM.
