Anandit Griha Nepal honoured

Pokhara,  The Siddhartha-Setuli Memorial Foundation, Pokhara honoured Aanandit Griha Nepal at Matepani of Pokhara presenting this year's Aama Setuli Maya Shakya Memorial Fellowship on Saturday. 
The award, which is given away every two years, carries a purse of Rs 100,000 along with a letter of appreciation. 
The fund of the award is being managed from the interest of a revolving fund amounting to Rs 1 million that was established by Bisworatna Shakya, the youngest son of the late mother Setuli Maya Shakya. 
The revolving fund set up by the Foundation 10 years ago has now expanded to Rs 5 million with support of over 500 Nepali at home and abroad, said Foundation Secretary Pashupati Shrestha. 
Besides the award, the Foundation has also been providing different awards to individuals making special contributions to the social and fine art sector as well as the poor and genuine girls and boys students of community schools. 
On the occasion of the 11th auspicious day of mother Setulimaya on Saturday, Biswo Ratna Shakya and his family handed over cash Rs 101,101 to the revolving fund of Aanandit Griha Nepal. 
Noted humorist Krishna Murari Gautam, also popularly known as Chatyang Master, handed over the awarded to Chairperson of Aanandit Griha Nepal, Ortho and Neuro Specialist Dr Yagya Man Shakya. Gautam also appreciated the contribution of organization to the wellbeing of ageing people. 
Foundation Chairperson Narendra Man Lalchan presided over the programme.
