Corona cases on rise, 3,108 people diagnosed on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, July 20: Officials confirmed a total of 3,108 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), those cases were detected through the 13,135 tests carried out across the country.
With this the total number of infections confirmed through the RT-PCR has reached 670,953 while the number of those being diagnosed through the antigen tests stands at 50,664.
Meanwhile, 1,595 people got over the disease on Tuesday taking the country’s recovery tally to 634, 927 which accounts for 94.6 of the total infections.
Similarly, 25 more patients died of the viral infection. Since May 16, 2020, Nepal has reported a total of 9,607 deaths.
