COVID-19 in Nepal: Daily recoveries higher than new cases today

KATHMANDU, May 26: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) reported a total of 6,714 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday afternoon. Those cases were detected through the 19,030 RT-PCR tests and 322 antigen tests. 

The number of daily case-count onTuesday was recorded at 8,636 and 7,425 on Monday.Meanwhile, as many as 6,716 patients gained recovery in the same period while 145 others succumbed to the deadly virus, said the ministry. 

The Kathmandu Valley, where Nepal’s capital city lies, recorded as many as 1,493 new cases on Wednesday including 1,139 in Kathmandu, 241 in Lalitpur and 113 others in Bhaktapur districts.
