Suspected COVID-19 patient dies in isolation care

Kathmandu - A 55-year-old person from Gauriganga Municipality in Kailai who was suspected of being infected with coronavirus died today in the isolation care at Seti State Hospital, Dhangadhi. The man was picked up from the Gauriphanta border point on Tuesday and was taken to the hospital. Hospital's Medical Superintendent Dr Hemraj Pandeya said he was confirmed to have died this morning.

But the cause behind his death is yet to be ascertained. According to hospital Information Officer, Dilip Shrestha, he was rescued from Gauriphanta in a fainted condition. Initially, he was admitted to the emergency ward and then shifted to the isolation ward. His swab sample has been collected and sent for the testing. The hospital has been lately developed into the COVID-19 dedicated hospital where there are presently six positive cases. Their health condition is normal.
