Foodstuff distributed to needy at various orphanages and shelter homes

Foodstuff has been provided to the helpless, differently-able and needy people in the Kathmandu Valley during the lockdown announced to prevent spread of COVID-19. The foodstuff is distributed in collaboration of banks and in coordination of the Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari. In this connection on Thursday, foodstuffs were distributed to 100 children sheltered at the Nepal Children's Organisation (Balmandir) Naxal and 100 children sheltering at Nepal Children's Organisation (Balmandir) Siphal, to 36 elderly persons at the Nisahaya Sewa Sadan, a shelter home for the helpless and 22 children sheltering at Future Hope Nepal, Gothatar.

Similarly, foodstuffs were provided to 18 children sheltered at Srijansil Bal Sewa Pariwar, to 75 people kept at Nepal Snehi Kakh Ekantakuna, to nine people at Pidit Sewa Sangh, and to 10 children sheltering at Children's Home Kandaghari, Chief of Metropolitan Police Office, Deputy Inspector General Bishworaj Pokharel, said. DIG Pokharel also informed that orphanages, elderly homes and other shelter homes can call at MPO hotline telephone number 100 for help if they are facing shortage of food grains and essentials.
